(REDEFINE LEARNING and TEACHING)

ACHAARYAT PADAM AADATTHE

One quarter of learning comes from teacher and academics (education)

PADAM SISHYA SWAMEDHAYA

One quarter of learning comes from the efforts of student (Self Descipline and effort)

PADAM SA BRAHMACHARIBHYAHA

One quarter of learning comes from peer learning team study (Team Efforts)

SESHAM KALAKRAMENACHA

One quarter of learning comes with age (life skills) and on off job experience (practice)

SHIKSHA is an organization found to promote Learning and teaching in all the above quarters to complete triple responsibilities. Responsibility towards Family (pitru runam), society & environment (deva runam) and preservation and transmission of knowledge (acharya runam).

Learning and Teaching without social responsibility is disastrous & dangerous and social responsibility without sensible accompanying education can never be accomplished. Societies/regions (lokas) is a comprehensive symbiosis of region’s(s) people living in a area (includes all villages/towns designated as a region), their customs habits languages spoken, its water bodies, agricultural practices, ecology (flora fauna), history, heritage, memories of elders, great personalities hailed from that region, and not but not the least, its unique moral ethical value systems evolved over centuries. If we assume each region (s) or loka is a layer, then many such layers constitute a nation or republic. The purpose of education, apart from other things, is to keep and preserve this multi layer nature of the nation or republic. Education’s purpose has to be geared to achieve this objective apart from other developmental curriculum issues. This makes the individual seeking education a wholesome Total Quality Person or citizen.
